All over the world the last year has been a nightmare, and although me and my loved ones have so far emerged relatively unscathed, it has caused it's fair share of problems. It's hard to be an art teacher with no room, no model and dwindling supplies.

But like the rest of the world, I have adapted, learnt a lot of new technology which I hate, and managed to run art classes using Zoom. After the initial stumbling blocks were sorted, it occurred to me that with a bit of editing, the recorded classes would make good YouTube videos for those looking to try painting, or at least get away from the kids for an hour or two.

So I am pleased to announce that I have launched my own YouTube Channel which now features almost 40 videos of me teaching, painting and panicking as things go differently than planned.

My latest is about a dramatic painting of St Michael's Mount in watercolour, using wet in wet for the sky and using dry brush technique to create the sparkle on the sea. And it shows why you use dark over light in painting watercolour.

So please, Visit. Enjoy. Subscribe if you want! (or even if you don't want)
